KOREA x CANADA Cultural Program: Disability Arts and Culture

Are you an artist eager to share your work and engage in meaningful cultural exchange? To commemorate the 2024-2025 KOREA – CANADA Year of Cultural Exchanges, the exhibition will be held in both Korea and Canada.
This international cultural exchange project is jointly organized by the Canada Council for the Arts (CCA), the Korean Foundation for International Culture Exchange (KOFICE), and the Korea Disability Arts and Culture Centre (KDAC).
The Canadian exhibition will take place from September 23 to October 4, 2025, touring ArtsPlace Gallery in Canmore, Won Lee Arts Space in Toronto, and the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa. The Korean exhibition will be held at the Modu Art Space, KDAC, from November 5 to December 4, 2025.
This exhibition will showcase works by five Korean artists and five Canadian artists living with disabilities.

Who qualifies to apply?
Artists must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for the cultural exchange opportunity:
- Be a Canadian resident identifying as having a developmental, physical, and/ or acquired disability.
- Be a practicing, emerging, or mid-level career artist working in a visual art medium.
- Be 18 years of age or older.
The NaAC will select one artist from within the NaAC’s community; and is accepting applications from artists living with disabilities to submit applications as well. The artists will be selected from the pool of applicants through a jury process consisting of NaAC instructors, arts administrators, and artists with disabilities.
