Mentorship Workshop
With Christine Klassen & Carl White
Get a jumpstart on your creative career
Looking for frank info from a professional artist on building your portfolio? Curious as to how the heck you approach a gallery with your artwork? Join gallery owner Christine Klassen and local artist & educator Carl White for an afternoon of insight on developing your career as a visual artist.
This workshop will cover the fundamentals, including the development of a cohesive body of work for professional presentation as well as the etiquette of approaching galleries. There will be time for Q & A and networking with the other creatives in attendance provided after the presentation.
All participants are asked to submit three JPGs of current work and an artist statement (max 150 words). Consider this your first lesson – always meet the requirements of submission guidelines! Carl and Christine will respond with a summarized review of your submission via email.
Attending in person? Then we suggest opting for in-person portfolio reviews for a more intensive evaluation with personalized suggestions and advice.
