Mindfulness is the act of being present in the moment, being aware of where you are and what you’re doing; as simple as this sounds, we humans rarely take the time to practice or make space for this. Nor do we often take the time for stillness (who has time to be still these days?!).

Yet, practicing mindfulness can help us gain better self-awareness and allow us to navigate through life by being more present and less reactive, particularly in times of stress. When combined with writing activities and a bit of creativity, mindfulness can be a powerful tool to help tell our inner critics who is really boss, helping to cultivate a sense of inner peace and empowerment.

Join writer, editor, creator, and educator Ashley Holloway in this fun, engaging 3-hour workshop to explore your inner creative being through different writing activities and prompts designed to inspire.

Don’t worry if you are new to writing or mindfulness; everyone is welcome.

Self-proclaimed logophile and devourer of books, Ashley Holloway teaches writing classes and healthcare leadership in Calgary. She writes in a variety of genres with work appearing across Canada and the US and has co-authored three books. Ashley is an editor for Unleash Press and her work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize.
