We’re calling on Calgary-based artists, collectives, and teams to dream big and submit proposals for this exciting multi-installative project. Selected artists will create immersive, thought-provoking and temporary installations that respond to our time and place. The installations will be displayed in a unique 750-square-foot venue — a versatile rectangular space with large windows overlooking a bustling street and a long countertop ripe for creative exploration.
At its core, Muster Point is about the possibilities of assembly. In turbulent times, how do we gather? What pulls us together or apart? What can emerge when we rethink the act of coming together? We’re encouraging bold, unconventional, whimsical interpretations of these questions and the idea of a ‘Muster Point’.
Three distinct installations will be exhibited between March and April 2025, each running for 2 – 3 weeks. Selected artists will receive a total fee of $7,000 to support artist fees, materials, and installation costs.
