Calling all creatives and aspiring designers!

Alberta Network of Immigrant Women is excited to bring you the next cohort of the Needle & Thread Program, our sewing program designed for beginners and intermediate learners alike.

Basic Sewing Class (Beginner-Friendly): If you’re new to sewing or want to master the basics, this class is for you!

Intermediate Sewing Class: Already know your way around a sewing machine? Take your skills to the next level and learn techniques like working with a jersey fabric and using a serger.

Classes start on June 21, 2025 (tentative date, subject to change)

Every Saturday

  • Morning Session (10am – 1pm): Intermediate Sewing Class
  • Afternoon Session (2 – 5pm): Basic Sewing Class

Program Details: Location: Alberta Network of Immigrant Women Office, Suite 200 1409 Edmonton Trail NE, Calgary AB T2E3K8

Start Date: June 21 (tentative, subject to change)

Class Options: Basic Sewing Class (Beginner-Friendly) - Perfect for those new to sewing or looking to master the fundamentals.

Intermediate Sewing Class - Ideal for those with prior experience who want to refine their skills, including working with jersey fabric and using a serger.

Schedule:
-Every Saturday
-Morning Session (10 AM - 1 PM): Intermediate Sewing Class
-Afternoon Session (2 PM - 5 PM): Basic Sewing Class
