New Immigrant Advisory Table Members

The Calgary Local Immigration Partnership Council (CLIP) is looking for up to six new members for its Immigrant Advisory Table (IAT). We want to hear about your experience of settling in Calgary. Sharing your first-hand experience and insights on living as an immigrant in Calgary will help to inform and support the strategies and actions of the CLIP collaborative.
We are looking for volunteers who were born outside of Canada and who represent a variety of ages, educational backgrounds, countries of origin, and experiences.
Your Role as a Volunteer:
- Attend and participate in regular meetings with other immigrants.
- Give your ideas into important areas to make Calgary more welcoming to newcomers.
- Connect with your own social groups to share their ideas.
- Share information about CLIP with people you know and support the vision of CLIP.
Requirements
- Born outside of Canada.
- Reside in Calgary.
- Passionate about your community.
- Have experience as a newcomer and understand their needs.
- Feel comfortable to share and to provide feedback.
- Commit to participate in a minimum of four meetings per year.
