Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers

Date: July 2, 2025
Time: 7 – 8:30pm
Location: Online

The second event in our Online Forum series. Join us Wednesday, July 2 for a focused online session on how to gather a film crew. Filmmakers of all experience levels can come together to share insights, ask questions, and discuss strategies for assembling a reliable and talented crew.

If you’re interested in watching the video version of the first online session about Finding Film Funding please reply to this email with a request to view it.

This free session is a discussion-focused event, not a lecture. Bring your questions, challenges and experiences no matter if you’re prepping your first short film or deep into an indie feature.

About Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers

Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers (CSIF) was founded in 1978 by a collective of twelve filmmakers who saw the growing need for film resources and film equipment on the traditional Treaty 7 territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Iyarhe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), also known as Calgary, Alberta. Now over 40 years later we are an integral part of the growing cultural community in Calgary and are excited about new collaborations and opportunities.
