Performance and Artist Coordinator
The School of Creative & Performing Arts in the Faculty of Arts is currently seeking a full-time regular performance and artist coordinator.

The coordinator is responsible for the smooth and seamless operation of a wide variety of performance-related activities from the planning stage to the final bows. While the coordinator reports to the production manager, the incumbent is required to make independent decisions regarding presentations. There are times during the year when evening and weekend work is regularly required and therefore the incumbent is required to manage his/her schedule during the week, in consultation with the production manager, so that overtime is not accumulated.
The coordinator supports faculty, sessional instructors, students, staff and guest artists achieve their performance goals. This work includes negotiating and creating contracts for guest artists and coordinating performances, recitals, master classes, juries and other special events.
The coordinator oversees contracts with visiting artists that bind the University of Calgary and must ensure that all articles contained in said contracts are carried out. The coordinator represents the University of Calgary to special guest artists and scholars. He/she may meet them at the airport, and must respond to any special requirements, ensure that they arrive for meetings, lectures, rehearsals and performances on time, and that they are paid in full for their services. No one in the University works more closely with these special guests than the coordinator, and it therefore falls on the incumbent to ensure visitor satisfaction.
The work performed by the coordinator represents the University to more than 20,000 patrons attending events at the University of Calgary.
