The Sled Island Music & Arts Festival (June 19 – 23, 2024 in Calgary, Alberta) is currently accepting submissions for visual artists to participate in the festival’s 2024 Poster Show.
Sled Island’s Poster Show is an annual event taking place the week of the festival. The Poster Show pairs local artists with musicians/bands playing the festival to create limited-edition, hand silk-screened posters by Burnt Toast Studios. If selected, you will be assigned a band from the 2024 lineup to create an original, one of a kind poster that will be on display at the Poster Show exhibit and available for sale (35 copies max).
Each artist designing a poster will receive $200 and a Festival Discovery Pass for the festival with access to the Sled Island Artist Lounge.
Sled Island is a registered charitable organization and all profits from the poster sales will support the production of future editions of the festival.
Please note, we are only commissioning 10 posters this year so applying does not guarantee your participation. Your submission will be reviewed by our team and you will be notified of our decision via email by February 29, 2024.
