Through the vast experience of Anne Lalancette, puppeteer and filmmaker from Montreal, and in the style of the shows Arctic Tall Tales from her company La ruée vers l’or and The Storyville Mosquito where she performs along Kid Koala, the participants will be invited to create their own short film, from foam scraps and miscellaneous objects. In this 5 days workshop, they will do some exploration, adapt one of their own stories, write a script, draw a storyboard, learn how to use cameras and lighting equipment, shoot, foley and edit their very own short film.

About Anne Lalancette

Anne Lalancette has been a puppeteer for theatre, tv and film for 20 years. Based in Montreal, Anne has established herself as a vital creative mind across Canada, pursuing the depth of puppetry to modern audiences in theatre and film.

Anne writes, directs and produces her own productions (“Pommes de route”, “Racontars arctiques”) with her puppet theater and live music collective, La ruée vers l’or, where she serves as co-founder, general and artistic director and performer.

She also loves to work as a filmmaker and her short film “Desmaraisville” has been selected and screened in various film festivals all around the globe.
