MAPPERZ presents four free workshops titled PROJECTION MAPPING 101 with a different program demo each week.
Thursdays 6 – 7:30pm, at Calgary Central Library (check workshop dates for room number).

Learning Outcomes
- What is projection mapping?
- A brief history and exploration of contemporary projection mapping for context.
- How to projection map.
- A run through of optimizing content, understanding surfaces and connecting your projector.
- Projection mapping demo.
- Program demos in QLab5, TouchDesigner, After Effects and MadMapper.
Practical time: 45 minutes to apply what you’ve learned with instructor support.
Accessibility + Expectations
- The Central Library is wheelchair accessible.
- Gender neutral + accessible washrooms available.
- All workshops will have closed captioning provided on a monitor.
- Expect low light levels with bright projector sources.
- Participants must have their own computer, program, and licence to participate.
- Three projectors provided – expect to share (or BYOP).
- The library has limited WiFi – download your program before the workshop!
Presentation Night
Workshop participants will be invited show off their learnings during a presentation evening February 28, 2025 at a TBA location.
