The Canmore Folk Music Festival Society, Alberta’s longest-running music festival and a proud community institution for nearly 50 years, is seeking new members to join our board of directors.
About Us
We are a not-for-profit, charitable society that presents the annual Canmore Folk Music Festival and supports year-round music education, artist development, and community events in the Bow Valley. Our festival is a major contributor to the local economy and a cornerstone of the region’s cultural life.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking volunteer board candidates with governance experience and professional backgrounds in law, finance, accounting, human resources, arts/events, marketing strategy, or fundraising. A passion for the arts and community building is essential.
Board members are expected to attend approximately 10 meetings per year, serve on at least one Standing Committee, and actively participate in the Festival and Society activities throughout the year.
