Seeking Muralist for Sport Courts

Parks Foundation is seeking a local muralist or muralist group to create vibrant murals on the surface of three sport courts as part of the redevelopment of George Moss Park. We are seeking talented artists with creative design skills and mural experience to complete the installation in Fall 2023, weather and construction timing permitting.

In partnership with the YCC-Youth Centres of Calgary, Parks Foundation is supporting the redevelopment of George Moss Park in the southeast community of Ogden. The redeveloped park will provide a safe and fun space for youth to play and a place for families and community neighbours to gather and be active. This new amenity will be the first of six outdoor spaces that will be part of the Green Line Public Gardens Initiative. The new outdoor amenity will feature several sport courts that will be enhanced by vibrant, artistic murals, along with plenty of seating, a tot lot playground addition, and trees and greenery to beautify the space.

Parks Foundation celebrates the diversity and talent of all artists and welcomes all applicants from BIPOC, Indigenous, LGBTQIAS+, visible minorities and differently-abled communities to apply.
