Intro to Silkscreen Using Digital Stencils

Times: 10:00am – 3:30pm (each day)
Students will gain an understanding of the basic history of silkscreen in contemporary art, using the process of creating and separating layers through Photoshop to create their silkscreened images. The instructor will teach a brief lesson in Photoshop in order to learn how to create and separate their stencils to prepare for silkscreening. The silkscreen process of applying emulsion, proper inking techniques, registration, and pulling prints using multiple colours will all be covered in this class.
All materials are provided.
Class price includes one additional studio rental day to print!
