Skyscape Printmaking Workshop

The Alberta Society of Artists

Date: Saturday, August 3, 2024
Time: 1 – 3pm
Cost: Free

The Alberta Society of Artists presents a Skyscape Printmaking Workshop by Misty Ring at the ASA Art Gallery.

This workshop is free and accessible for all ages and skills, including those who think they can’t draw stick figures. We will be using safe and easy-to-clean materials to carve the foam and make the prints. There will be foam already carved for those who just want to focus on printing. It will be a form of relief carving, and if you don’t know what that term means, that is fine; it won’t hold you back from making beautiful prints. The main materials we will be working with are foam, paper, pens, markers, a sponge and a smidgen of water.

Once your prints are done, you can take them home, keep them, gift them or put them in the “windowpane” of “Celebrating our Backyard”

The ASA Art Gallery is on the 2nd floor of the Crossroads Market at #222, 1235 – 26 Ave. SE, Calgary. Access to the 2nd floor is by the NW stairwell or the small elevator in the centre of the market.

ASA Gallery hours are Wednesday – Saturday 10am to 4pm and parking is free.
