In this course, Luke will be taking students through an in-depth look at the anatomical structure and rendering of the facial features, eyes, nose, lips, mouth, and ears. Students will learn the major anatomical forms of the features and important landmarks. They will then learn how to simplify the anatomy into memorable forms and relationships.

During the class, you will observe and study from classical casts (sculpture) and artists like John H. Vanderpoel, George Bridgman, and Andrew Loomis to gain a better understanding of how to render and design the features tastefully.
Come and learn how to render accurate, beautifully designed features and gain in-depth knowledge about the features so you can execute your portrait work with confidence!

Each class will contain a lecture and demonstration by the instructor followed by The students applying the information from supplied reference or a live model.
