Studio Assistant

Compensation: $25 per hour
Federico Airaudo Studios is looking for a studio assistant to support in the daily production of fine art paintings. We are looking for an artist, or student-artist, to assist in the studio who has basic knowledge and experience in acrylic painting. This position is perfect for art students who are interested practicing their skills and gaining experience in fine art production. The studio is bright, open, and located in the vibrant arts district of Kensington.
Main tasks:
- Fill in pre-sketched canvases using acrylic paint, following color instructions
- Help maintain a clean and organized workspace (cleaning brushes, organizing materials, etc.)
- Store and care for fine art works
- Support in the general daily production of art works
Requirements:
- BFA with a focus on painting (in process, or completed)
- Basic skills in acrylic painting, ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Ability to follow instructions and with good attention to detail
- Punctual and responsible
- Careful and reliable in working with fine art pieces
Schedule: 20 hours a week. Schedule can be discussed, but we are looking for someone who is able to work between 9am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday. This is a contract position and will run from November 15, 2025 – March 31, 2026, with potential for renewal.
