The Alberta Society of Artists invites Alberta artists (18 years of age or older) to submit to the exhibition Boundary/Boundaries.
“Defined as a line that marks the limits of an area, a subject or a sphere of activity. It can be real or imagined. Sometimes it can be crossed, sometimes it shouldn’t.
Artists are invited to freely explore conceptual interpretations of ‘Boundaries’ from personal, social, political, and environmental perspectives. This exhibition aims to stimulate contemplation on our relationships with freedoms and constraints, whether as a means of preservation or expression. Reflections may encompass physical, spiritual, or cultural dimensions.”
The artist’s statement will be crucial to the understanding of the artwork’s intent in this exhibition call.
Exhibition location is the Crowsnest Pass Art Gallery, Blairmore, Alberta: October 19 – November 17, 2024. There may be other venues.
