Many of our arts organizations are challenged by questions of future leadership and supporting transitions to enable future sustainability and stability. Planning for succession and leadership transition is not a singular event, but one of many practices organizations can undertake over time to enable greater resilience, relevance and empowered transformation.
This workshop is intended to help arts organizations proactively develop a basic framework for planning and integrating ongoing practices to design for transitions, well ahead of time. Hear from other organizations undertaking succession/transition planning and learn about their experiences.
Together, we will identify key considerations adapted to your context, map and benchmark competencies and resources for development and knowledge transfer, and generate a draft sequence that you can take back to your organization to prototype and test.
