Summer Artist Development Residency
Calling all artists! The GRAND is offering its annual summer artist residency running from July 17 to August 20, 2023 in the studio.
All artistic mediums are welcome to apply. This residency will offer selected artists/collectives access to The GRAND Studio to focus on the development of new or in-progress works. Each selected artist or group will receive one week (7 days) private access to the space from 9am to 4pm. This program will culminate in a performance opportunity at The GRAND (date TBD).
Timeline
1. Application period: June 7 – 25, 2023, 11:59pm MT
2. Assessment process: ending June 27, 2023
3. Artist notified: by June 28, 2023
4. Residency runs: July 17 – August 27, 2023
5. Final performance: late August to mid-September, 2023
Location: The GRAND Studio, 3rd floor, 608 1st St. SW, Calgary.
Eligibility: Applications will be evaluated by The GRAND’s programming team.
Accessibility: There are no fees to participate or apply. Video and oral submissions can be supported.
