Teaching Core Competencies in Arts Education

Traditional curriculum teaches numeracy and literacy. Modern times calls for teaching core competencies. How can we accommodate the student need for modern education in a time of misguided curriculum drafts and re-writes.

Discover the power of arts education and teaching core competencies for the 21st century student with Concept MindEd design labs. ConceptMindEd connects and inspires leaders in the education and community engagement fields to spark change and reform education, through aesthetic education, making it visible, inclusive and dynamic.

ConceptMindEd offers online conceptual learning programs for students, educators and arts professionals through dynamic speakers, innovative concepts, interactive workshops, collaborative learning opportunities, and mentoring with experienced ConceptMindEd facilitators. Participants will hone their design thinking skills, develop their 21st century leadership potential, and create a learning community of global minded professionals. ConceptMindEd mentors and supports artists beginning to share their craft with digital tools to promote online learning, transferring in-person artist workshops into online programming for students learning at home.

Our online Zoom meetings bring together teaching artists, educators, community artists, arts leaders and life coaches to develop the learning capacity of each individual and consequently, a professional learning community of future ready leaders.
