The Dance Artist Summit is for dance artists in Calgary who are ready to revitalize their career and nourish their mind, body and heart. This summit is one-of-a-kind as it has been created by local dance artists for dance artists — because we know what it’s like to build a career in this industry and we know you need practical tools and knowledge.
What is the Dance Artist Summit?
The Dance Artist Summit is a 2.5-day event for people in Calgary who identify as dance artists.
This summit has been designed to provide you the dance artist with high-quality speakers to nourish your body, mind and heart as well as provide you with the tools you need to be successful in the field.
Each day will have a different focus. We start the summit off with Friday featuring a movement lab open jam and networking event. Then both Saturday and Sunday are focused on in-depth sessions with top-of-the-field speakers as well as movement sessions to revitalize your practice and learn cross-training approaches to integrate into your routine.
We will have six session hosts:
- High Intensity Interval training with Mo
- Recovery Movement through Gyrokinesis with Megan Gole
- Food as Fuel with Dietician and Intuitive Eating Coach Vincci
- Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy with Physiotherapist Stephanie
- Grant writing for dancers with PIVOT Consulting & Management Company
- Processing Emotions as a Dancer with Psychotherapist Marie-Ève
