Tri-Tone Tap & Percussive Arts Summer Intensive
With Tasha Lawson, Connor Denison, Kristian Alexandrov, Trudy Hipwell and guests
The Tap and Percussive Arts Summer Intensive will provide an opportunity for intermediate and advanced level tap dancers to expand their rhythmic, musical and creative skillset.
The intensive will focus on enhancing technique (tap and body percussion), musicianship (West African drumming and jazz trio), creative expression (improvisation and composition) and historical knowledge (honouring our masters and mentors/lineage).

Intensive includes:
- Rhythm tap technique
- Body percussion
- Ethnomusicology; including African hand drumming & percussion and jazz music clinic
- Instruments provided
- Tap and body music improvisation
- Composition and repertoire
- Footage and history on lunch break
- Tap jam with live jazz trio (day four at the Espresso Café)
Dates:
• Wednesday, July 12 – 14, 2023 (in-studio), 11am – 5pm
• Saturday, July 15, 2023, (live music tap jam brunch), 12:30 – 2:30pm
- One Jam ticket included in package for intensive participants
- Additional tickets – $10 TTRS members / $15 non-members
