STORYHIVE is providing grants of $10,000 each to produce a locally reflective nonfiction series of 6 to 10 episodes. We’re seeking stories that capture the voice, personality and experiences of communities across Western Canada. Projects may be featured on TELUS platforms including TELUS Optik TV On Demand and STORYHIVE’s YouTube channel.
Program Dates
- Applications open: February 11, 2025
- Applications close: March 20, 2025 at 11:59pm PT
- Recipients announced: June 25, 2025
- Production starts: August 27, 2025
Project Requirements
Each Project will consist of a minimum of 150 minutes of nonfiction, episodic locally reflective video content, and can be a minimum 6 episodes and a maximum of 10 episodes. All projects must have synchronized audio and video elements and each episode must be a minimum of 15 minutes in length.
Examples of eligible projects, but are not limited to:
- A documentary digital series
- An interview-style series
- A how-to series
- A lifestyle or fitness series
- A Children’s Edutainment Series
