Works to Work Internship

The Works to Work summer internship program is adapting to COVID-19 restrictions for 2021. The internship program will begin in May, run throughout the summer and into the fall, modified into a longer period of part-time work in place of the usual full-time condensed schedule. Participants can expect to work between 20 and 30 hours a week as schedules flex and adapt to the shifting nature of public programs at this time.

The paid program will include virtual training and team building sessions that connect theoretical learning with real-world applications related to producing public art programming. Participants will benefit from working with experienced arts presenters while learning in a variety of ways that include group discussions, mentoring, and hands-on experience. The Works 2021 public art presentations will be tailored and adapt to current health and safety guidelines to ensure safe public art programming as well as work-place safety for The Works’ intern teams. Changing health guidelines and the resulting program shifts will require adaptability and openness from interns, as we take on this unique programming year together.
