Discover your inner artist in this workshop on the basics of monoprinting with a gel plate. Create personal one-of-a-kind prints with a variety of techniques, tools and materials. This four-hour workshop will introduce you to monoprinting as you experiment with various texture and layering methods and learn to have fun, enjoy the process and embrace happy accidents. We will work with a limited palette and build a limited run of printed paintings. Jump in and learn something new!
The instructor will cover:
- The tools, materials and process for monoprinting
- How to create stencils and masks
- Layering techniques
- Working with a limited colour palette
- Care and cleaning of the gel plate and tools
