This eight-week, online course is designed for writers who want to produce new work and to re-energize their writing practice by generating short (flash) memoir vignettes and/or personal essays in response to a series of writing prompts. This class is not a formal writing workshop, but each student will have two opportunities to read a complete piece of her/his/their work (under 850 words) in the group, and to share excerpts of other short works in progress. By the end of the course, students will have multiple pieces in progress, and an enhanced understanding of concision in nonfiction writing.

This class is an interactive online workshop using Zoom.
