Calling all kooky characters and (spiked) tea lovers! The Alice Cocktail Experience in Calgary is casting actors!
Looking to hire multiple actors to portray tea party characters (Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts, etc.) for a 90-minute immersive cocktail show.

Synopsis
An immersive cocktail adventure! Come along on a 90-minute topsy-turvy journey into the magical realm of Wonderland. A pop up creation taking you through the looking glass and into a very mad and silly world.
For those both curious and curiouser—this will be the tea party to end all tea parties.
Join us for a theatrical, alternate reality experience that will take you down the rabbit hole and through the looking glass! Please note this is a 12-week pop-up experience and not a bar—it’s a themed immersive actor led cocktail discovery experience!
Who
We are seeking actors of any gender, race and age!
Roles are The Mad Hatter/Judge, The March Hare/The Queen of Hearts and The White Rabbit. Please note, any male identifying actors will have to be comfortable in drag, as all actors hired must be able to play all roles.
What
We are particularly looking for strong improvisers, as the show is primarily improvised with a loose script/structure. Any previous drag experience and bartending experience is a huge plus as well! We are flexible with conflicts/ scheduling as we are looking to cast about 10 performers for this production, because there will be multiple shows a day, spanning over five to six nights a week.
*Please note that this is not your typical theatre experience, as actors you are also in charge of bar prep, bussing and turning the space over/cleaning.
When
Rehearsals will take place January 24 to 26, 2022. Timing of rehearsals will depend on availability from the cast. We will open January 27, 2022 at SunnyCider Calgary, and run for a few months, however there is a possibility of extending the run.
This is an independent contractor position and is paid bi-weekly.
Pay rate is $25/Canadian dollars an hour, plus gratuity.
*We will require all staff and guests to be vaccinated and will require masks from both staff and guests at all time unless actively eating or drinking.
