During the Calgary Arts Development Creative Congress in November 2023, community members, arts organization, and artists were invited to explore the question, How might artists lead the way to a more equitable, inclusive, and accessible city where everyone belongs?

With the support of Calgary Arts Development, we want to invite you to participate in the first of six incredible learning labs that took place on the second day of the Congress.

Please join us to explore Art For Social Change .

What is this? What does this mean? What does it mean to our YYC Community? How is Art for Social Change making ripples in other communities across Canada?

Join Stacey Perlin and the Arts Commons Education Team on January 31, 2024 to continue the conversation. Stacey will lead us through a series of hands-on conversations that will allow us to discover the power of Arts for Social Change and explore How might artists lead the way to a more equitable, inclusive, and accessible city where everyone belongs?

We think it is important to continue this conversation and invite people that could not attend the Creative Congress in November to listen, learn and help build to what has been said, and be empowered to create social change.

This event is free and open to anyone that wants to attend the learning lab.
