Equinox Vigil is a creative, respectful evening to honour the deceased in creative and meaningful ways. A free, family-friendly event held on the September 22, 2018 in Calgary’s Union Cemetery. The event is produced by a team of artists and technicians. and we are seeking an Assistant Set Designer, Flags to be paid a $250 honorarium. Work with Design Lead to manage aspects of flag installation from preparing, repairing, sewing, making, ironing flags, to working with volunteers to install the flags. Take down includes repairing any flags necessary, packaging and storage prep. Some preliminary work to prepare flags in advance. Expect to work a 12-hour day on Saturday, September 22, 2018, with food provided and breaks. Experience in design, fabrication, and handmade projects, time management and staging an asset.
