This year, the winter solstice is on December 21, 2018, and we want to spend the night singing our hearts out with our favourite people. We will have snacks, maybe some puppies, special holiday-themed drinks, mood lighting, friends basically everything you need to set yourself up for a special holiday bash. As always, karaoke is free but $2 will bump you up in the cue. For this evening only, any song by Patti Smith will put you at the front of the line. This event takes place on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot and the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Siksika, the Piikuni, the Kainai, the Tsuu T’ina and the Stoney Nakoda First Nations. The City of Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III. Solstice/Holiday Karaoke Fundraiser Date: Friday, December 21, 2018, 9:00pm – 2:00am Location: TRUCK Main Space (2009 10th Ave. SW) TRUCK Contemporary Art in Calgary is dedicated to creating safe and inclusive spaces for participating in contemporary art.
