Are you a black youth in YYC between the ages of 13 to 19? Are you an artist and/or love to express yourself creatively? Do you want to learn about black culture and pride in a supportive and non-oppressive environment? If this is you, tell us why you want to be in this free program and provide one to two samples of your work. Deadline to Apply: April 30, 2020 Dates: July 20 – 31, 2020 Location: TBD Cost: Free. Lunch and snacks provided. Black Kid Joy is a free two-week immersive program (July 20 to July 31, 2020) for Black youth ages 13 to 19. In the program, Black youth will learn and explore Black culture, heritage and pride through the arts. Youth will work in small teams with a professional artist mentor on projects which will be showcased in September 2020.
