DIY Theatre is a Calgary-based, independent, semi-professional theatre company and we are recruiting new board members to our voluntary board of directors.
We are a registered non-profit organization and although we are small, we are very mighty, and we are at an exciting point in our organizational growth! This is a rewarding, exciting and varied position that will help shape the future of DIY.
DIY Theatre is committed to producing work that is raw, authentic and embraces the flawed through examining issues of conscience, ethics and morality in both classical and contemporary theatre. All of our work is chosen with the intent of provoking conversation and focuses on drawing in the audience like a good story being told around a fire.
We are a group of semi-professional artists that have come together to make art and tell stories. We ask questions. We reflect. And we invite our audiences along for the ride.
As a member of the board of directors, you will be involved in governing and managing the various affairs of the society. An ideal candidate would have experience in business or non-profit financial management.
