Casting Call for Alberta TV Series
The Sugar Mama is searching throughout Alberta to cast 12 creative participants for Season 2 of an unscripted television series. If you are a talented, passion-driven visual artist, actor, performer, stand-up comic or musician, or specialize in a creative field, The Sugar Mama wants to hear from you!
Twelve creatives will be selected to participate for a chance to receive $100,000 to advance their artistic career. All participants will receive an honouraria.
This series will represent diverse voices and perspectives. Members from the 2SLGBTQ+, BIPOC and/or disabled communities are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility Requirements & Conditions:
- Be a resident of Alberta.
- Be 18 years or older as of May 9, 2024.
- If selected, be available for an in-person interview the week of February 12, 2024 in Calgary or Edmonton (pre-approved travel expense will be reimbursed for out of town people).
- Be on location in southern Alberta and available for the entire production schedule from Thursday, May 9 to Saturday, May 25, 2024 and be 100 per cent offline from your devices for the duration.
- Be prepared for long hours and to complete assignments within a limited amount of time.
- Be available for a post-production interview in August 2024.
The Sugar Mama TV series is a non-union production. If you belong to an actors or performers union, you must be eligible to work on a non-union production.To apply, please complete the Online Application at sugarmama.tv/casting.
Applications must be received online via upload of the online application form. You will be asked to upload a 60- to 90-second video in landscape format telling us why you want to be on the show.
