Job Description

The event coordinator will develop, manage and implement high-impact events that inspire engagement and connection to Contemporary Calgary. The event coordinator will strategize new event initiatives and take the lead in developing event marketing and sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and executing public events, exhibition openings/internal events including: logistics, working with relevant staff and suppliers, and marketing/communicating with stakeholders (members, volunteers, vendors,
    the community, sponsors, etc.).
  • Ensuring high customer service standards at every Contemporary Calgary event.
  • Managing event records including pre and post event data entry, quotes, purchase orders, event budgets and create a post-event summary report.
  • Leading pre and post event meetings as required to review/communicate team/client needs and feedback.
  • Coordinating fundraising special events including look which may include:
    • Providing administrative, event and sponsorship support.
    • Developing marketing materials, calendars, auction related materials.
    • Contracting vendors and overseeing.
    • Managing ticketing details and logistics including database management.
    • Managing volunteers and staff.
    • Supporting committees as required.
    • Managing profitability and sales.
    • Developing and executing sales and marketing strategies.
    • Managing revenue and profitability associated with events.
    • Reviewing billing and payments with clients.

This position may include other job-related activities as directed by the chief executive officer that contribute to the success of Contemporary Calgary.
