Convocation & Grad Show Coordinator
Alberta University of the Arts (AUArts) is looking for a creative and organized team member to help coordinate Convocation and Grad Show 2022.
This is an hourly consulting role that starts right away and goes to the end of May/beginning of June. You will join the advancement team and work cross-institutionally, particularly with student affairs and the Illingworth Kerr Gallery.
Working from, and building on past event plans, this person will:
- Consult and partner across AUArts to develop and implement all aspects of convocation and in support of the grad show.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers (venues, audiovisual, design, web development, videography/photography, printers, merchandise, catering).
- Establish and manage budgets and timelines.
- Develop event scripts and speeches.
Ideally this person has experience with large scale events, post-secondaries, arts and creativity. This person is creative and detail-oriented, and can quickly adapt to changing pandemic conditions that could shift all or some elements online at any point. This is an hourly consulting role, some weeks will be full of work, others you’ll be waiting on others to continue.
