Drink the Wild Air is a creative writing retreat for youth ages 11 – 19.

Typically nestled in the gateway to the Rocky Mountains in Kananaskis Country, this year we’ll come together online to take workshops with working professionals, play games, and share our stories, our songs, our poems and our art. Join us on March 17, 2023 for orientation, and on March 18 and 19 for a weekend of creative razzmatazz, hijinks, capers and general hullabaloo.

Our commitment to Indigenous reconciliation, racial equity, disability justice, and gender and sexual diversity.

We acknowledge that the land we gather on, Mohkinsstsis, is the ancestral territory of the Siksikaitsitapi — the Blackfoot people — comprising the Siksika, Kainai and Piikani Nations, as well as Treaty 7 signatories, the Tsuut’ina Nation and the Îyârhe Nakoda Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney First Nations.
