Elephant Artist Relief Society (EAR) is upgrading and rebranding our overall public image. This will involve an overhaul of our website and promotional materials.

We are looking for interns to help produce and design our new image. These positions will start in the spring and stretch into the summer of 2019. These positions are about six weeks in length and will be up to 10 to 15 hours per week.

The production manager will be responsible for facilitating the launch of EAR’s new branding strategy. During this six-week project, they will implement changes to promotional materials provided by a materials designer, as well as an EAR committee comprised of board members, while consulting the society’s administrator.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing a WordPress/SquareSpace website and manipulating related modules.

  • Communication and media studies
  • Art and design
  • Administration

Some specialized skills required:

  • Organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of printing and designing for print.
  • Experience with Squarespace and or WordPress.

What we will Accomplish at the end of the Internship:

  • Organize and submit all related documentation, in a shareable folder, to EAR’s administrator by the conclusion of the six-week contract.
  • Disseminate social media imagery intended to promote the re-branding launch.
  • Insert written and graphic content into EAR’s new website that will be developed by the materials designer.
  • Research hard-copy materials printing costs and approach printing businesses for potential sponsorship.
  • Communicate EAR’s printing needs for brochures, business and membership cards, the content of which will be provided by the materials designer.

This internship is approved through the SCiP program for Alberta, so this position is for students/those who qualify under SCiP guidelines. The internship will be rewarded with $1,000 at the successful completion of the internship.
