Bach Tots: Performing Arts for Babies, Toddlers and Young Children specialize in dance-theatre for very young audiences. As a specialist in arts for early years, we combine vibrant, character-based dance-theatre with interactive workshops specifically designed for babies, toddlers and young children. Bach Tots has performed nationally and internationally at the Calgary International Children’s Festival, Saskatoon Children’s Festival, and Spring of Culture Festival in Bahrain.

Bach Tots also runs a short performance program for children aged 4+, providing them with the opportunity to explore dance and creative movement and perform alongside the professional artists who perform in our show. We are currently seeking applications for a Bach Tots Performance Program instructor.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong knowledge of dance curriculum with a focus on pre-primary ballet.
- Previous experience teaching dance to ages four to seven.
- Excellent class management skills.
- Some drama experience (or character dance).
- Performance experience.
In addition to teaching classes for the Bach Tots Performance Program, the instructor will perform in a piece with the students as part of our Nutcracker (in a Nutshell) performance, as part of our 2018 show.
Candidate must be available on the following dates:
- November 4, 11, 18, 25 and December 2, 2018, from 2:30 to 5:00pm at Evergreen Community Spaces (1709 8th Ave. NE).
- December 8, 2018, from 9:30 to 11:30am.
- December 9, 2018, from 1:30 to 3:30pm.
Candidate must be 18 years or older.
The candidate may also be invited to apprentice on the show with the artistic ensemble.
Pay: $35 – $50/instructional hour, depending on experience
