Elevate Administrator
The educational program Elevate Music fulfills the second part of the Calgary Jazz Orchestra’s (CJO) mission to advance education by providing musical instruction to musicians of all ability levels.
Elevate provides workshops for community members who have an interest in developing their musical skills. It also offers performances and educational opportunities at schools in Calgary and the surrounding area.
In addition, the CJO has participated in events such as Alberta Culture Days, providing a diverse audience with a taste of jazz music and inspiring up-and-coming musicians and music lovers.
Duties include:
- Contact schools and community groups about the Elevate program and schedule performances and workshops.
- Contact musicians for hiring and with event details.
- Two-year term. Multiple term renewals are possible.
