Empathy Week 2021

Planning for Empathy Week 2021 has begun and our 2021 request for proposals (RFP) process is now open! We would like to invite you to consider participating in the week-long festival, officially proclaimed by The City of Calgary, by applying to deliver an event or program with the financial and marketing support of Humainologie.
Each year, Empathy Week includes creative, interactive, and multimedia events that promote empathy, human connection, and the recognition of shared humanity.
In 2020, we took Empathy Week exclusively online due to COVID-19, offering the festival via Instagram Live and Zoom with 15 events. 2021 will be the first year we plan to offer the festival both online and in person.

We encourage you to peruse the RFP and submit your event, program, or activity idea.
Please note that applications for in person programming will be subject to health and safety protocols closer to the time of the festival. We encourage applicants to consider possible online alternatives.
