This fall, it’s all Greek to us. It’s all about believing in yourself and expressing different theatre arts styles. Whether you would love to re-connect to your expressive powers or learn about Greek theatre and Commedia dell’ Arte, we have the acting/theatre arts classes to suit your fancy! Join us, meet new friends and have fun while gaining confidence in physical, emotional and verbal literacy!

Androcles and the Lion

Imagine the zany world of Italy and a physical style of theatre called Commedia dell’Arte and Ancient Greece where the nature of the world is explained through myths. In a series of fun-filled acting classes, players will begin with self-development drama activities in order to expand their vocal and body expressive tools. With this enriched self-awareness, they will then develop their communication skills through Commedia dell’ Arte, improvisation, mask play, storytelling, and physical theatre techniques. On the last day of classes, players will share their theatre and performing arts skills with confidence, by presenting an adaptation of the Greek fable, Androcles and the Lion, through the Commedia dell’ Arte. This celebration of learning presentation is for friends, family and anyone who would like to see how we play.
