Your event may be eligible for a subsidy. Eligibility for subsidy is determined by the event advisory committee, based on your application score. Download the 2021 Festival and Event Subsidy application by visiting calgary.ca/pdf. 2021 Subsidy Applications We understand that it is difficult to plan an event for 2021, as we do not know what City or provincial guidelines and regulations will be next year at the time of your event. Please plan for the best-case scenario to ensure maximum subsidy coverage to accommodate a full-scale version of your event. 2021 Festival and Event Subsidy applications will be accepted starting October 1, 2020. The 2021 Festival and Event Subsidy application deadline is October 31, 2020. Annual Events If your 2021 event is changing from your 2020 application in one or more of the following ways, you need to submit a 2021 Festival and Event Subsidy application: Event location Event size Event programming For annual events that have not changed from 2020 to 2021, you need to confirm you would like to ‘roll over’ your 2020 Festival and Event Subsidy application before October 31, 2020 (contact your Event Liaison or Event Services at eventservices@calgary.ca). Changing, New, and First-Time Events You will need to submit a 2021 Festival and Event Subsidy application for: A new event applying for subsidy for the first time. A 2021 event that is changing location, increasing or decreasing in size, or adding or removing programming elements, as described in your 2020 application.
