Film Circle Lounge Bartender

We are excited to announce that we are gearing up for our 22nd annual Calgary International Film Festival, and are looking forward to welcoming new film circle lounge bartenders to our ranks. The film circle lounge bartenders serve beverages to our Film Circle members and their guests in the Film Circle Lounge, ensuring outstanding customer service and secure handling of drink tickets and alcohol.

Essential Functions

  • Providing friendly, helpful and prompt customer service.
  • Assisting film circle lounge coordinator with setting up the bar area with necessary inventory and equipment.
  • Keeping the bar area clean and well organized.
  • Ensuring the security of all bar stock and inventory.
  • Keep track of inventory throughout shift and reconcile at the end.
  • Alerting the Film Circle Coordinator to inventory getting low so orders can be made.
  • Ensuring all AGLC rules are followed throughout service.

Additional Responsibilities: Other tasks as required.

Qualifications

Must Haves:

  • Ability to collaborate and work well in a team environment
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Reliable, hardworking and resourceful
  • Friendly and outgoing
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
  • AGLC ProServe certification, proof required upon hire
  • Able to lift 20+ pounds

Assets: Bartending Experience

Approximate Work Hours

An approximation of hours per week is below, dependent on operational needs and business flow. It is understood that shift work, weekend work and work on statutory holidays will be required.

  • September 22 – October 2, 2022: 15-20 hours, depending on shift assignment (on site at Eau Claire Market)
