We are thrilled to announce that Chinook Blast will be returning for its third year in 2023. And we can’t wait to celebrate Calgary’s winter with you.

Everything that you loved and enjoyed in 2022 will be back, including our anchor events:

• High Performance Rodeo (a 35-year performing arts festival in Calgary)
• BIG Winter Classic (a 4-day music and arts festival)
• Block Heater (one of the city’s fastest-growing music festivals)
• Ethnik Festival (one of Calgary’s newest arts and culture festivals)
• Light installations throughout the Chinook Blast HUB.

And more to come!

As we continue to build our program for 2023, we are now calling all local artists and organizations to submit your idea for an event or activity as part of Chinook Blast. The activities can range from sporting to recreation to arts and culture events. We want to hear from you! If selected, you will receive funding to turn your idea into a reality and add to the winter excitement. The full details of the Friends of Chinook Blast Programming grant is provided in the form below.

Application closes on December 9, 2022.
