Graphic Designer & Social Media Specialist

The Graphic Designer & Social Media Specialist will play a key role in creating online content for Northview’s social media channels and website. As a graphic designer, you will work across multiple departments to create content for residential operations, finance, health and safety, facilities, construction, and human resources.
Responsibilities:
- Create, coordinate, develop and execute social media posts through a wide array of multi-media, including writing, photography and videography.
- Create content for all corporate departments and assist in developing Northview’s brand.
- Develop marketing templates for all communication boards across Canada.
- Design and coordinate marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, and graphics.
- Monitor competitive social media and online communities for activity and perspective that may be of strategic relevance to Northview.
- Coordinate photos and videos of residential properties to advertise on social media.
- Develop resident events and take advantage of marketing opportunities.
- Support employees, managers and other key stakeholders in the successful resolution of graphic and promotional materials.
- Analyze and communicate results from social media marketing campaigns. Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Incorporate different elements (photography, illustrations and copy) into a well-designed, coherent and effective message.
- Assist with the coordination and logistical planning of all related marketing initiatives including events; promotional materials, etc.
- Use the principals of good design, layout, colour theory, and typography, craft creative design solutions that engage, inspire and educate our customers when creating graphic design for marketing collateral.
- Ensure all artwork is press-ready for print production and liaise with print vendors and suppliers to discuss job requirements file preparation.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree in marketing, digital media, communications, graphic design or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in marketing and/or graphic design.
- Proven experience interacting and engaging on social media and web platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and blogging platforms.
- Photography and videography skills, drone knowledge is considered an asset.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premier Pro).
- Effectively write engaging content.
- Advanced MS Office Skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- A passion for keeping up on emerging technologies and new media.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
