Or maybe you currently have your art online but it’s not selling? Maybe you’re just wondering why some artists get all the attention on social media and your art just don’t seem to strike up the same amount of buzz? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this is the workshop for you! This is a 90-minute introductory workshop led by Steve Gow. Steve is a volunteer director at New Motion Gallery and the founder of an online platform called UppstArt that helps artists sell their art online. He has a wealth of experience in marketing, sales, PR and e-commerce, and he has helped artists build their own web presence and sell art on social media, eBay, Amazon, Kijiji and many other e-commerce marketplaces. What you will Learn At the end of this workshop, you will know how to define your artistic brand, identify your ideal art collector customer and select an appropriate platform to promote and sell your artwork online. Steve will also cover the basics of building an art marketing and sales funnel and how to start utilizing different channels to drive traffic to your artwork. Part 1 Topics Note that we will cover as many topics as possible but may need to skip over some depending on time and the number of questions and discussion. Intro to the principles of marketing and selling art online. Defining your artistic brand and the story of your art. Identifying your ideal buyer (i.e. your target market). Online platform(s) selection (i.e. where to sell your art). Photographing and uploading your art. Intro to sales funnels and flywheels (e.g. your “art marketing machine”). Social media marketing basics. PR and media outreach marketing basics. Email marketing basics.
