Future of Public Art

The listing period for this opportunity has passed.

The City of Calgary is moving forward with plans to transition the public art program to an external organization. With the help of our consultants ART+Public, we’ll soon be issuing a request for proposals (RFP) asking interested organizations to apply. But before we do that, we need input from organizations who may consider themselves prospective proponents to operate Calgary’s future public art program.

We want to hear from organizations with expertise in:

  • Art or cultural production.
  • Public-facing programs as a core component of organizational activity.
  • Educational and community-building activities.
  • Investment in a thriving arts and culture sector.

Please proceed with this survey if your organization may be considering or have an interest in submitting a proposal.

The objective of this survey is to obtain baseline information of prospective proponent organizations that will inform the development of the procurement document, to be issued in the next four to six weeks.

This survey is not part of the procurement process and your answers will not impact eligibility, nor will your eligibility be impacted by whether or not you complete this survey.

To complete the survey, visit surveymonkey.com.

We will also host an information session for organizations who are interested in learning more about the RFP document and process before it is released. If a member of your organization would like to attend, please pre-register and you will be contacted with an invitation once the session has been scheduled.

Sign up to receive an invitation to the information session by visiting docs.google.com.

Please feel free to reach out to publicart@calgary.ca if you have any questions or would like to know more about these sessions.
