Part-Time Instrumental Music Teachers (Voice, Drums, Guitar, Strings, Woodwinds, Brass)
Teaching Options: In-studio, online or virtual, and in-home
Our team is growing! Music & Play accepting applications for the following Part-Time Music Teachers for our 2020/2021 season:
- Voice
- Drums/Percussion
- Guitar
- Strings
- Woodwinds
- Brass
Our regular season begins in September 2020, however, some summer teaching may be available.
If you have high standards for music and arts education, love to inspire students and would like to help build great people as part of one of Calgary’s leading music schools we want to hear from you.
Applicant Requirements:
- Overall: Previous private teaching experience (with all ages of students) as well as knowledge and previous application of standard teaching methods and lesson curriculum for private lessons, and the willingness to work evenings or weekends depending on student loads.
- Vocal Teachers: Post-secondary music education, experienced with a variety of music genres.
- Drum/Percussion Teachers: Post-secondary music education, previous teaching experience on a variety of percussion instruments preferred—but not required.
- Guitar Teachers: Post-secondary music education, experienced with a variety of music genres.
- String Teachers: Post-secondary music education, previous teaching experience on a variety of string instruments is an asset.
- Woodwind Teachers: Post-secondary music education, previous teaching experience on a variety of woodwind instruments is an asset.
- Brass Teachers: Post-secondary music education, previous teaching experience on a variety of brass instruments is an asset.
Successful applicants will be friendly and outgoing, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and possesses a reliable way of getting to the studio.
