Job Opportunities August 9, 2023 Marketing and Social Media Coordinator The Calgary Boys’ Choir is hiring a talented, motivated and creative marketing professional for freelance contract work. Are you skilled in developing marketing plans and social media content creation? Do you have a passion for music and youth? If so, we need your hands-on experience to assist with time sensitive projects to promote and foster outreach to diverse communities in Calgary and area. Your efforts will increase our membership and be part of celebrating our 50th Anniversary season in 2023 to 2024! Commitment: 10-15 hours/week; 6-Month Term (with opportunity of extension)Pay: $18-$25/h depending on experienceLocation: Remote (with some work at rehearsals Wednesdays from September 18, 2023 to May 26, 2024 and some additional evening and weekend events) Must have reliable transportation to rehearsal, performance, and community sites. Specific responsibilities: Collaborate with our staff, board, members, and external partners to create, develop, and produce effective visual concepts, campaign designs, and layouts. Develop and implement marketing plan and research tv, radio, and media opportunities to feature and promote the Calgary Boys’ Choir, our concerts and events. Create graphic design assets for use across mediums including but not limited to: website, social media and email marketing. Produce videos and photos of our choristers and feature in posters, signage and advertisements in the form of traditional print and digital. Measure and track results of marketing campaigns and focus on continuous improvement. Qualifications: 1–3 years of graphic design experience. Students and new grads are welcome to apply. Experience in Google ads/AdWords and SEO expertise, with knowledge of current social media marketing practices. Design savvy and knowledgeable in videography and photography. Proficient with Google Suite. You are: An effective verbal and written communicator with creative writing and marketing skills and high attention to detail. Team oriented, confident, organized, and reliable self-starter who works independently.
